Design and Sizing

In order to limit energy consumption, control the emissions into open atmosphere and ensure the safety of installations, the construction and sizing of the systems for the dispersal of flue gas are playing an increasingly important role.

To meet these needs, both in the construction of new sytems and renovation of existing systems, the Zinco Group has developed a Single and Twin Wall Flue System in accordance with the requirements of the standards.

Why steel?  Stainless steel flues have a smoother surface, reduce fuel consumption by optimizing the combustion of heating appliances and thanks to their particular insulation reduce the emission of pollutants.

For the sizing and installation of a flue system certain things must be taken into consideration.

1. Safety must be the cornerstone of all the work. The flues may catch fire and become dangerous, so it is essential to use high quality materials and insulation (the CE marking is required today on every flue component).
2. It is necessary to guarantee its efficiency by ensuring that the inner walls are as smooth and as vertical as possible to allow a rapid dispersal of the flue gas.
3. Their capacity (or diameter) must be proportionate to the emissions of the stove or fireplace to which they are connected.
